ohana means family. family means noone gets left behind or forgotten. i got this tattoo with my stepsisters, & for us ohana tells us that even tho we might not all be blood related sisters, we are always there for eachother, no matter what <3

I got this because Disney is a major part of my life. I plan to work there after college and I have been to Disney World 16 times and once to Disneyland with my family. We are a disney family. I got this tattoo last year for my family. It was kind of a spur of the moment type thing but I’m really happy with it (the location could’ve been better). I wanted a tattoo for my family, close to my heart and since my mom’s side of the family is really big into Disney I thought the perfect way to celebrate them would be to get something Disney related.

This is my first tattoo that I got done at Twisted Heart in Hollywood, Florida. There’s alot of meanings behind my tattoo, besides the fact that I’m from Hawaii. I am a disney lover and Lilo and Stitch is one of my favorites. I like the movie’s explanation of ‘Ohana’ that no matter what happens, no one gets left behind or forgotten. That goes toward my sister who has been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction which has kept my sister in and out of jail. So having the word ‘Ohana’ facing towards me on my wrist reminds me that no matter what happens, to always be there for her.
